Math Without Borders: expanding access to Computational Thinking worldwide (RAOAF)

Description:MATHEMATICS WITHOUT BORDERS is an international education equity initiative designed to improve access to computational thinking and STEM education for underrepresented groups, particularly women, early-career researchers, and participants from developing countries. Delivered in conjunction with Creative Mathematical Sciences Communication, the project provides: • Childcare support to enable participation of women and caregivers • Financial assistance for vocational delegates from low- and middle-income countries Supported participants will be trained and will commit to delivering at least one post-conference STEM education activity in their home country, ensuring downstream impact. By removing key participation barriers, the project strengthens global STEM capacity, enhances inclusive education, and promotes knowledge transfer to underserved communities worldwide. An example for this project is the old adage of teaching a community how to fish and they will feed themselves for a lifetime. This knowledge enhancement will build confidence, increase quality of life and produce sustainable community development.
