Summary:This is a Family Project for Neta Kirby (District Governor 9790) whose daughters Ruth and Monica both went through traumatic births with sick and premature babies.
They understand the emotional and financial pressure on families in this situation and valued the amazing support they received from the Life's Little Treasures Foundation.
This project will provide much-needed funding to "Life's Little Treasures Foundation" so they can continue to support thousands of families like Neta's.
Challenge:In Australia, 1 in 10 babies are born premature, ie before 37 weeks of gestation.
Over 48,000 babies are admitted to Neonatal Intensive Care Units or Special Care Nurseries every year. As you can imagine, this is an extremely stressful time for the families of prem babies.
Solution:Funds raised through this project will support the "Victorian Families Support Program" for the "Lifes Little Treasures Foundation".
The program will provide information, financial assistance, peer support, and connection opportunities to families who have had a premature or sick baby in Victoria.
