Wheelchairs for kids in Mongolia (RAOAF)

Description:Wheelchairs for Kids, a Rotary initiated project in Perth produces rough terrain wheelchairs for areas without paths/roads which are designed to be adjustable for each child's special requirements and are built to WHO standards. This project is to pay for the freight of a container of wheelchairs for children in Mongolia who have medical conditions such as Cerebral palsy or an injury which necessitates them having an adjustable wheelchair. When they arrive in Mongolia each wheelchair will be adjusted to the needs of an individual child by Rotarians and volunteers from Bulgan One who have been trained in the task by physiotherapists from Australia. Feedback from families is that having a wheelchair allows not only the child but the family to improve their quality of life.
