The dual acronym captures both the outcomes we work toward and the four program streams through which we deliver them, and it more accurately reflects the project's current scope than the existing name. |
| Challenge: | Lack of nutritional food sources and hygienic facilities and practices impacts community heath. |
| Solution: | Our work has broadened beyond its original focus to encompass school gardens and food security, literacy and mobile library outreach, hygiene promotion and teacher workshops, and WASH infrastructure including wells, toilets and handwashing facilities. |
| Long term impact: | Provision of facilities, education of the communities and better nutrition will improve health outcomes, benefitting the entire region. |
