Sunrise Of Africa, Nairobi, water, hygiene & sanitation project (RAOAF)

Description:Sunrise of Africa School, Kitengela, Kenya, is based in a largely undeveloped, lower socioeconomic township, close to Nairobi. The school currently has 450 students (expanding next year to nearly 500 students) and has limited toilets and septic systems, and no washing/showering facilities or running water for the students. The school is currently building a new toilet block and this project will assist in the provision for the adjoining large biodigester septic tank, which purifies and recycles the valuable water resources back into toilet systems. The implementation of the water purification system would greatly improve the sanitation and water for the school project. The outcome will greatly improve the hygiene and health outcomes of the children together in upgrading their education standards.
