| Summary: | This project will support education for school students in Siem Reap, Cambodia, by providing school-based support and mentoring, as well as essential educational resources. Working in partnership with local NGOs, the project will identify the needs of local schools and communities. The Rotary Volunteer Team will travel to Siem Reap in January 2027 to assist teachers and mentor students as needed, helping them build skills and self-determination. Additionally, the project will continue to empower young people through education by funding a Rotaract Club of Siem Reap student through the CRST Scholarship Program for students from a disadvantaged rural family. |
| Solution: | We will now continue to support University student tuition fees. |
| Long term impact: | We have already:
1/ Provided tangible educational support and empowerment of teachers in a disadvantaged region.
2/ Increased awareness of Rotarians to the difficulties faced in Cambodia, and build an on-going partnership between D9790 and Rotaract Siem Reap.
We welcome other Rotary Clubs to collaborate to this much needed work during 2025. |
