| Summary: | 1.To provide training to local villages and their people in Teaching, Building and Health, Maidi Area, Dhading District, Nepal
2.The severe flooding has exacerbated the need for further support to rebuild |
| Challenge: | 1. One of the biggest challenges we have been trying to address is the toilet situation in the Villages where we work, Girls and female teachers are not attending school because of the critically unhygienic toilets
2. Our second challenge is to support the rebuild of many houses and particularly continue the work around providing hygienic conditions since the flood which has exacerbated the issue |
| Solution: | 1.WE will be able to build new and/or improve the current toilets. Poor sanitation is such a major issue and we believe that all people have the right to hygienic toilets
2.We will be able to rebuild toilets to prevent the spread of disease post the major flood |
| Long term impact: | 1.Improve the hygiene situation. Girls and female teachers will be able to feel safe and clean when they particularly are having their period thus improving educational outcomes
2.Improve the quality of the toilets and other basic infrastructure post flood which of course improves hygiene overall |
